Burbank, Calif., June 20, 2011 Pee-wees Big Adventure the funny, adventurous cult classic, starring Paul Reubens (Pee-wees Playhouse) and the film that launched Tim Burtons directorial career (Alice in Wonderland, Beetlejuice, Batman, Batman Returns, Tim Burtons Corpse Bride, Edward Scissorhands) pedals onto Blu-ray Disc for the first time October 4 from Warner Home Video (WHV). To sweeten the holiday shopping season, WHV will also release Tim Burton’s vivid film adaptation, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, starring Johnny Depp (Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, Alice in Wonderland, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, Edward Scissorhands) on Blu-ray for the first time in the U.S. Both titles will be available individually with a suggested retail price of $19.98.
