Warner Brothers Home Video announced that Charles Schulz’s hapless hero Charlie Brown will come to Hi-Def in a newly remastered three-film release, “Peanuts Holiday Collection.”
Featured are the classic TV animated specials “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” (1966), “A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving” (1973) and “A Charlie Brown Christmas” (1965).
The three films, with a collective run-time of 150 minutes, will be transfered to BD-25 single-sided discs and packaged in a multi-disc Blu-ray case. The manufacturer’s suggested retail price is $42.93. Apparently, somebody didn’t want to round those prices up or down! But alas, the Peanuts gang in hi-def is cause for celebration in my book.
