A new two-disc collection, Scooby-Doo! 13 Spooky Tales: Surf’s Up Scooby-Doo! features a brand new 22-minute cartoon, “Scooby-Doo! and the Beach Beastie.” Frank Welker provides the voice of both Scooby-Doo and Fred, as the whole gang—Shaggy (Matthew Lillard) Velma (Mindy Cohn) and Daphne (Grey Griffin)—as they head out on a vacation to Florida. When a strange water creature causes trouble in paradise by stealing some valuable jewels, the gang is forced to leave behind their vacation plans, and solve the case. The new short is lots of fun, with Fred trying to deal with his obsession with nets. The writing is rather clever.
The rest of the set is a wide ranging mix of things, including a couple of classic Scooby-Doo, Where Are You! episodes, and an episode of What’s New, Scooby-Doo?. There’s also an episode of Shaggy & Scooby-Doo Get A Clue!, a show which I personally have always found annoying, and A Pup Named Scooby-Doo. The remainder are from Scooby-Doo and Scrappy-Doo and The Richie Rich/Scooby-Doo Show .
Below is a list of all the episodes on the set:
