Krypto (Johnson) and Superman (Krasinski) have been best friends for years. Now their working as a team to keep everyone safe from various bad guys. For Krypto, being Superman’s bestie is the most important thing in his life. When Superman begins spending a lot of time with girlfriend Lois Lane (Wilde) and wants to marry her, Krypto sees her as a threat. As Krypto deals with this crisis, a bigger problem emerges when Lex Luthor (Marc Maron) uses Kryptonite to rid Superman of his powers and take the Justice League hostage.
While Superman and Krypto foil the attempt, Lulu, a scheming guinea pig (Kate McKinnon), who was once a lab test animal for Lex Luthor, does gain special abilities and uses it to disable the Justice League. Hobbled, Krypto recruits a colorful group of shelter pets, also enabled by the kryptonite, to help. This includes a sweet pig named PB (Vanessa Bayer), Merton, a near-sighted turtle (Natasha Lyonne), Chip, a high-strung squirrel (Diego Luna) and Ace, a moody dog (Kevin Hart).
Lessons about the friendship and love we get from and give to our pets abound. A relatively short film aimed at kids, Super-Pets struggles a bit juggling the narrative threads of so many characters. Nonetheless, Super-Pets is still a fun, enjoyable story. Across the board, the all-star voice cast delivers fine performances, giving each of their characters a real sense of fun.

Presented in the 2.39: aspect ratio, DC League of Super-Pets looks excellent in 4K UHD. Sharpness is impressive throughout. There are no print flaws to be seen. The color palette offers pastel tones with a slight emphasis on orange and teal. Colors are vivid and HDR adds range to tones. Blacks are dark and deep, while whites and contrasts are added by HDR. All of this makes for a pleasing visual experience.
Warner Bros. offers two audio options: Dolby Atmos—which means Dolby TrueHD 7.1 or 5.1 mix if your receiver doesn’t support Atmos—and a DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio mix. There’s little difference between the tracks. The soundscape is quite lively, particularly during action sequences. Speaker use is full throughout. Dialogue is clean and concise. Music is full and rich.
